the Gospel of Mark - recited

Last night on Maundy Thursday I went to a reciting of Mark that Redeemer held with the well-renowned Max Mclean. (He attends Redeemer, and does the reciting free of charge every Easter.) Yes, he recited the entire book of Mark, or about 2/3 of it he said. This was absolutely incredible. I can't even describe how moving and impactful it was. In a one-person monologue of the gospel of Mark, he successfully portrayed the varying personalities and emotions of the 12 disciples, Jesus, and many of his followers and scoffers. Most people who are reading this probably won't be anywhere near his shows anytime soon, but if you ever are (in Chicago in the next month or in NYC next Easter) please, please take my word for it and go see this!
