LeeAnne brought this point up, and I hadn't even thought about it... but am in the exact same predicament she is. This is the first New Year's day, probably in 23 years, that I haven't eaten black eyed peas today... I hope my luck turns out ok for 2009.
It is fun to follow tradition and enjoy black-eyed peas (we had them) but I remind both you and leeanne that our hope is in Christ...He is working all things in your lives according to the counsel of His own will and for our good and His glory...Praise His precious name....I am praying for ya'll....MOM

perryn, this post made me laugh because when i got home on saturday, the first thing out of my mom's mouth was, "did you eat black eyed peas on new years day??"
